This 5-day trek is an adventure that will allow you to experience the best of the sacred mountains of the Peruvian Andes, since you will go through ancient trails surrounded by snowy mountains and abundant vegetation through of the Peruvian jungle, all this put on display in its purest state. During the tour, there are days when the walk becomes somewhat challenging, but then it is rewarded by a light rest and the delicious meals prepared by our best chefs.   • Clothes: Walking boots, Waterproof jacket / rain poncho, Warm jacket, Hat and gloves, T-shirts, comfortable trousers
  • Other items: Sunscreen (factor 35 or higher), insect repellent, toiletries and hand sanitizer, personal medication, camera and film, torch with spare batteries
  • Note: We strongly suggest spending time at high altitude (above 3000 meters / 9842 feet - in Cusco or another high altitude area) for a minimum of 2 to 3 days before undertaking your trip. This is in order to minimize the possible effects of altitude sickness

    I went on the 5 day Salkantay track with Freddy (guide), Nazario (chef) and Victor (Porter). This was definitely on the best experience I have gone on. The food was absolutely amazing, Nazario did an amazing job with every single meal. Victor was so nice and helped out with everything like putting up tents and brining good. It was an absolute pleasure to have Freddy he was so experienced with everything in terms of culture and spirituality. He was like family and his attitude was perfect. It was such a nice experience and I’d definitely recommend it to everyone!

    The 5 day Salkantay Inca Trail with Inkayni was an incredible experience! The hike was a physical test but the Peruvian nature was beyond beautiful and the team were so supportive. The team Freddie (guide), Victor (porter) and Nazario (chef) were amazing, authentic, and made this experience perfect! I cannot express how grateful I am to have done this trail with Inkayni.

    I took a trek with Paul and I’ve never had a better experience in my life. It was challenging, beautiful and so rewarding. Paul was such a knowledgeable and fun guide that he made even the tough parts an incredible experience. I couldn’t have asked for a better trek. Thank you Paul!!
