We will be picking you up from your hotel within the historic centre of Cusco

  • Humantay Lake, Cusco, Peru
    Depart Cusco and get back to nature on a vigorous 7-kilometer hike in the Andes. Experience the majestic beauty of the Rainbow Mountains as you trek in the foothills of Mount Ausangate. Keep a look out for native wildlife, such as the mighty condor - the largest bird in the world - pumas and different types of camelids. Learn more about the extraordinary geology and the flora and fauna of Peru from your knowledgeable guide. Soak up the stunning views before you return to Cusco for a refreshing cold chicha drink (a fermented or non-fermented beverage usually derived from maize).

Amazing view on the top!! We are a group of 18 that day with people from all over the world, simple breakfast and lunch are covered, definitely recommend!

El paisaje al llegar es de lo más bonito que haya visto, incluso es más bonito que otros lugares turisticos del mismo Perú. El camino es un poco sinuoso pero con debido tiempo no es dificil. En diciembre hay que cuidarse del frio. Muy recomendable.

It was a fantastic experience. Our guide ‘Chanski’s group’ was very informative and helpful. The hike was harder than expected due to the altitude, but you could opt to take a horseback 3/4 of the way if you found it too difficult. The ads for the trip don’t do the lake justice. The place is incredibly beautiful. A trip not to be missed. Also, the breakfast and lunch included in the trip were of very good quality and in a picturesque spot with a beautiful view of the mountains. All this for a very reasonable price ( actually dirt cheap).
