Hike to find the great view from Humantay lake which is magical as you can see a lush green andean valley, the Humantay glacier, as well as Salkantay mountain in the distance. This program invites you to know the Humantay Lake in a full day trip with a short hike accompanied by an impressive landscape of Mountains.

    Our Excursion begins with the pickup collection from your hotel about 04:30 am to 05:00 am. Then we continue our journey in a private transport to the town of Mollepata famous for the Avocado Production in the area. Once we arrive there we will have a delicious breakfast and then continue to Soraypampa base camp (3900 m.a.s.l / 17.960 ft), from where hike begins for an hour and 45 minutes approximately to reach the Humantay Lake, surrounded by glaciers. When we reach Humantay we will enjoy the beautiful turquoise lagoon. There you will take the best photos. Then we will descend to Soraypampa to have lunch later in the afternoon we will return to Cusco by our Private transport.

What an incredible experience we had with our amazing tour guide Luz! This was definitely a hard and intense hike but we did it. Our tour guide met up with us prior to the day of the tour to give us more information and to give us tips and what to expect. The hike was tough but Luz was very encouraging every step of the way, she was constantly checking on us to make sure we were okay. She had supplemental oxygen in case we needed it and also had her own "magic potions" as she would call it to help with the altitude. This is definitely a must when visiting Cusco! Thank you Luz for making this tour so memorable!

Great hike, breathtaking views of the mountains to a beautiful alpine lake. Guide was extremely knowledgeable about the history, geology, and culture of the area truly an experience I’ll never forget.
