Classic Inca Trail 4 Days to Machu Picchu

We had a wonderful time hiking along the Inca Trail, our guide was Nico, who made this trip the best experience so far. From the meeting a night before departure to the incredible meals that we got during these four days,. Our team was composed of seven hikers (tourists), ten super porters, and a chef. Vidal Expeditions organized everything we needed for this adventure, tickets, camping gear, food, and transport. All logistics were handled by their team. We just had to contact Vidal, the owner, and he explained everything concerning this trek. We are not experienced hikers in this kind of terrain, but Nico and his team managed to complete all we needed to complete the four days and arrive at Machu Picchu at the right time. A friend of mine was slower, but Nico stayed with her the whole time, motivating her and providing everything she needed. The service on the entire trip was more than what we expected, and the crews were very prepared to attend to any issue that could arise while we were hiking (oxygen tank, radio, and pulsometer). They also included us in the drop-off at our hotel on the last day, arriving early compared to other groups. I highly recommend this team and Nico for this trek, an experience of lifetime.

The Chef and his Team of Porters are very attentive and cook up some delicious food on the trail - they even baked a cake for my birthday! We were in a small group (one other couple) always felt safe and in great hands. Vidal has extensive experience living and working on the trail. To enhance the experience be sure to get in shape, make sure you have the necessary kit and try to arrive in Cusco a few days prior to acclimatise. You will not be disappointed.
