Jose is an excellent maestro in the history, culture and culinary arts of Peru. We learned about native fruit, indigenous cooking and making the epimonious pisco sour. Shaking and blending our own recipe.

We loved the experience we had with Alejandro Castillo, our Peruvian chef. Alejandro took the time to tell us the background on Peruvian gastronomy and then showed us how to make ceviche with mahi mahi, pisco sour, chilcano, and lomo saltado. Cooking the lomo was especially fun. We also learned a lot about the history of these dishes/drinks and many of the foods native to Peru. It was really a fun afternoon, highly recommend!
