Great one-day tour from Lima. Felipe is very knowledgeable and shares a lot of history, stories and theories with us. His arrangements are great in terms of activities and transportations. It’s a long drive from Lima to Huacachina Oasis. It’s a bit rush at the end in Huacachina as we need to head back to Lima. Staying a night would be nice. Definitely recommend this private tour if you just want to spend one day to cover both Nazca line and Huacachina.
Felipe is a very good guider who is very nice to us, arranging trip for us very well. He is even a specialist in photography and took many photos for us. We love them! The driver, Carlos is also kind person who opens the car door for me getting on and off the car. Felipe was referred to me by my friend and I will refer him to my friends absolutely. Hope to have another trip with him next time.
Our tour guide Felipe is well communicated and detailed mind. He can be reached by email and whatsapp. His English is clear and easy to listen, I learnt a lot of Peru culture and knowledge from him, since I had another tour guide in Cusco, his strong Spanish accent made me very tired to listen and cannot understand easily.
Driver of the tour is good too, we have a smooth long journey to Ica.
I chose this tour before it only takes 3-4 hours drive to Ica instead of 6-7 hours drive to Nazca, save lots of road time. And it’s price is most competitive in the market.
Initially my focus is only Nazca lines, do not have any expectation on sand dunes part as I had experience in Australia and Dubai before. However, it was so enjoyable, the buggy driver is so professional, made the buggy drive full of roller coaster experience. The sand surfing is great too, as they have really high sand dune. This part is around an hour time.
For Nazca lines, Felipe suggested us to take motion sickness medicine and he prepared the pills to us too. I was so confident not to take it at the beginning, but when we went to the plane, it arrived the lines area half an hour later, the plane leaned left and right to make us see the lines more easily, the German passenger in front of me started to vomit, and he vomit nearly the whole way, it made me feel some stomach sick too, then I knew Felipe’s suggestion was so good. For the lines, we were planned to see 17 drawings. When I missed the first one or two in the beginning as they were harder to see, I started to worry, but starting from Number 3 Astronut onwards, I can see every one.
After two activities, we went to a Pisco vineyard to have dinner, free Pisco tasting provided. 1 course is included, drinks are self-pay.
Overall, I think this trip is worth to go. Since I only have 2 days in Lima and very tired after Cusco trip, otherwise, I will go one more local market foodie trip with Felipe :) And I will save it to my next trip to Peru, this is the first time travel to Peru and it is a really nice country to travel, no matter the scenic, culture and food. I love their Alpaca products and you may find the cheapest Vicuña products here compared to the States and Europe, though it is still really expensive as its top excellent quality. One more tip - Alpaca ponchos are so cheap and very good for photo taking due to the sharp color.
Lastly, Felipe’s tour is highly recommended. I have no hesitation to recommend it to my friends.
