    We start our tour by picking up each traveler from their Hotel or Airbnb. Then we will travel to the south of Lima, in our private tourist transport, the one-way trip lasts approximately 45 minutes. Then we will visit the Pachacamac Site Museum is an archaeological site museum belonging to the Ministry of Culture of Peru located in the department of Lima, within the Pachacamac Archaeological Sanctuary. It has a collection of more than 6,500 registered pieces of various materials such as ceramics, wood, plant material. Metal and textile, of which there are around 290 on display. One of the emblematic pieces of the museum is the idol of Pachacamac.

    Continuing with our tour, we will visit the Acllahuasi "Temple of the Virgins of the Sun" sacred precinct where women selected for their manual skills, culinary or physical beauty lived and worked, and who were at the service of the State. In each important province or city of the Inca Empire there was one where the local women were recruited. The Acllawasi of Pachacamac, apparently, was one of the largest and most important on the coast. Likewise, we will visit El Qhapaq Ñan or Great Inca Trail, it is one of the most impressive works of the Inca Empire that shows us a road system, which consisted of the authorization of 25 thousand kilometers of roads that connect Cusco with the other extensions of the Empire. . As soon as we visit the sacred precincts in the lower part, we will go up an elevated ramp that will take us to the Temple of the Sun.

    Later we will border the Temple of the Sun is built of adobes and has red paint. It is the largest temple of the sun on the entire coast and probably represented a great organizational effort for its construction.

  • Hacienda Mamacona, Lima, Peru
    Once our visit to the archaeological center of Pachacamac is over, we will visit the Mamacona hacienda where we will start our buffet lunch and enjoy a show of typical dances from the 3 regions of Peru. We will also be able to appreciate the show of the Peruvian Paso horse and ride around the hacienda. Finally we will board in our private transport and then go to our respective hotels.

When I booked, the pickup time would’ve been 9:00 am. It was changed to 9:30 the day before but that was fine. My issue is, they got my hotel mixed up even though during the confirmation, I provided the details again. This caused me to get picked up at minutes after 10. The traffic was really bad by then so we had to leave pachamac a little early so I would have time to eat and see the horse show. Too bad a couple of the sites were closed but it was still an awesome experience. The horse show was pretty good and the buffet had a variety of options. Drinks are not included fyi. The tour guide knows the history behind of every bit of area we drove by so you will be well informed and our driver was cautious and friendly. The staff at the restaurant were also amazing.
