Ultimate Salkantay Trek to Machu Picchu 5 Days

Our guide William Elvis and the team- Hubenal, Selso and Felix were amazing!!! These are very fun guys who joke all the time. Yet they are professionals. They work hard, they work fast, they do a lot of work to ensure that your trek goes smoothly. They keep you safe. They keep you motivated. Always remember that when you buy a trek, you are not buying some guy to lead you through the mountains. You are shopping for a person to be your trusted advisor, someone who together with a team of chefs/porters will give you a flavor of Peru. Anyone can walk you through the mountains and jungle, but only a local who loves their country and it’s culture can immerse you into what it mean lake to be Peruvian. Our trek was not easy. Willian Elvis anticipated our needs. When on day 2 we had to spend several hours ascending a cold glacier, he knew to order us horses. We rode horses up the mountain, and without them our trek would be delayed. Moreover, I am not even certain that I would be able to make it up to 4700m on my own. Above 4000m every breath is precious. A good guide knows your abilities and ensures everyone safely makes it to the end of the trek happy and safe. Do not underestimate the value of your guide. Lastly, Peru is beautiful and amazing and only a local guide can uncover all of the beauty for you.

We went on 5 days Salkantay Trek and we absolutely loved everything about it! We had a private tour with only four people and everything was amazing! Our tour guide William Elvis is very professional and caring. We felt like family all steps of the way. Our team which were our cook Celso, second cook Felix and waiter Juvenal were incredible! They work so hard to make us happy all steps of the way! Food was delicious every time, and always different. We could not understand how they delivered such a great service every time of every day in conditions we were in. Definitely would suggest this company and everyone in our team for any kind of tour. Hola ususarios de Tripadvisor, les cuento q hemos visitado el Llaqta de Machu Picchu, lo hemos hecho por la ruta del Salkantay - Machu Pichu de 5 dias. Ha sido una experiencia excepcional, maravillosa. En cada experiencia de este tipo siempre evaluo varios aspectos para poder calificar la aventura. Una de las puntos refiere al paisaje o region visitado, en este caso conocer la region alta del Perú ha sido espectacular, tanto la ruta del Salkantay como el Llaqta. El otro aspecto es el trato del personal de la empresa de turismo. En cuanto a ello debo decir que gracias a la atencion brindada por su guia Juvenal Sutta, he experimenatado uno de mis mejores viajes. Siempre atento a todos los detalles y a resolver cualquier dificultad que se presentare. Ni hablar de los manjares y delicias preparadas por el cheff Daniel Coronel y su asistente Elizabeth Ayala, haciendo milagros con el menu, teniendo en cuenta la falta de infraestructura adecuada en los campamentos en alta montaña y en pequeños poblados x los que anduvimos.
