    Tikal National Park is the most excavated archaeological site in Central America and one of the most excavated (archaeological) sites in the world. We expect to see many temples and clim them. ITINERARY 7:00 or 7:30 a.m. – We’ll meet you and pick you up at the airport or at your hotel in Flores or El Remate, etc. 8.30 a.m. – Arrive at Tikal National Park and begin our walk through the park visiting the most impressive sites. 1:30 p.m. – Tour ends at the parking lot and we take you to flores or we recommend where to eat. 2:30 p.m. - Lunch on your own ends and we drive to Flores to have a walk by yourself. 5:00 p.m. – Arrive back in Flores to drop you off. My fiancé and I had an amazing time exploring Tikal's Mayan ruins and spotting wildlife with Elmer! Elmer went above and beyond in taking us around and teaching us all about Mayan and Guatemalan history, geography, and the ecosystem. We had an early morning flight to Flores and a late night flight back to Guatemala City. He spent the entire day with us, even taking us into the cute island of Flores because we had time before our flight back. This was our first private tour experience and we can only hope that future ones will be as great as this one was.

My husband and I had a tour to Tikal with Elmer. Elmer is not just a guide sharing his knowledge, but he connects to the travelers on the personal level. His English is rich and easily understood. We were aware of every step of the tour without him being pedantic. Elmer is educated and makes concersation naturally. He is a guide that makes a tour as an experience you want to repeat. He is passionate about the culture of the country, its history, and eager to share it.

Elmer was a fantastic guide for Tikal, very knowledgeable about Mayan history and culture. After talking with us, he provided an individualized experience, and it was everything we could have wanted. All parts of the trip were covered, along with a delicious lunch.
