    Tikal National Park is the most excavated archaeological site in Central America and one of the most excavated (archaeological) sites in the world. We expect to see many temples and clim them. ITINERARY 7:00 or 7:30 a.m. – We’ll meet you and pick you up at the airport or at your hotel in Flores or El Remate, etc. 8.30 a.m. – Arrive at Tikal National Park and begin our walk through the park visiting the most impressive sites. 1:30 p.m. – Tour ends at the parking lot and we take you to flores or we recommend where to eat. 2:30 p.m. - Lunch on your own ends and we drive to Flores to have a walk by yourself. 5:00 p.m. – Arrive back in Flores to drop you off. The tour was great! Elmer was a great tour guide and knew everything there was to know. He was helpful and answered all of our questions. He was able to speak to the children of our group in English and the some of the adults in our group in Spanish. It was a once in a life time experience and recommend everyone to enjoy this trip.

We toured with guide Gelber from Tikal VIP tours and had a fabulous visit to the Mayan ruins of Tikal in Peten, Guatemala. Gelber was very knowledgeable and friendly and we strongly recommend him. Set in lush and verdant rainforest boasting Howler monkeys, spider monkeys, Paca, toucans, and coatimundi, we saw so much exotic wildlife. We loved Tikal. It’s our favorite Mayan ruin.

I recommend taking this private tour. Glever was very informative about the temples and history of the Maya and Tikal, it’s a breathtaking experience. You’ll definitely enjoy it and get your daily steps in after climbing up to the viewpoints.
