    The Central Market (Khmer: ផ្សារធំថ្មី, Phsar Thum Thmei; meaning "New Grand Market") is a market and an art deco landmark in Phnom Penh, the capital of Cambodia. The bright yellow building completed in 1937 has a 26-metre high central dome, with four tall arch-roofed arms branching out diagonally across the block, creating vast hallways housing countless stalls and a variety of goods. Initially designed by city architect Jean Desbois, construction works were supervised by French architect Louis Chauchon. When it first opened in 1937, it was said to be the biggest market in Asia; today it still operates as a market.

Sina was the best guide we could have wished for! His English is perfect and the breadth of his knowledge about Cambodian history is amazing. He encouraged us to ask questions and presented stories and facts in a really engaging way, which helped us to really understand and take in all of the information. We learned so much about the history of his beautiful country and how much people suffered under the Khmer Rouge. The history of the Killing Fields and Tuol Sleng is harrowing and we are so grateful to Sina for sharing his family’s experience. The other sights (like the Royal Palace and Wat Phnom Daun Penh are beautiful. Sina pointed out all the important details and decorations - plus took lots of pictures! Sina was really easy-going and helpful and offered to let us make changes to the itinerary. He had icy cold water for us and even offered soft drinks! Sina could not have been more kind and welcoming to us. We are so lucky to have picked this tour with him - we could not recommend Sina’s tour more highly!

Sina was an enthusiastic, diligent and very polite guide. He was at pains to ensure that the agenda and content of the day met our requirements, ranging from the venues we visited through to his exemplary driving. He had great knowledge of all the places we visited and was able to share it in a informative and personal way. He clearly cared about every aspect of the day.
