Then move ahead to Wat Phnom Penh Daun Penh where you will see a beautiful Buddhist temple which was built in 1372 and a lady Penh who were the founder of Phnom Penh City. At the afternoon, earn about Cambodia’s tragic past at the Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum, the former site of the Security Prison 21 (S-21) and Killing Filed were established by the Khmer Rouge regime. At the end, you will see the Independence Monument of Cambodia which was built by Former Father Kind of Cambodia in 1958 and also his statute after he died in 2013. Amom is an amazing tour guide. Despite not having sufficient tours during the pandemic, she was extremely knowledgeable and knows her history well. She was very accommodating and followed me to the market as I wanted to make a purchase and even helped me with the communication. Amom is very passionate and her emotions come through when we visited the Killing Fields. She has family that was impacted. I would definitely recommend her and was fortunate enough to bump into her again as I was checking out to leave the country.
