We explore the local villages on the Mekong Island and learn about their lifestyle as much as the silk weaving that it is the main job for them after the farming or fishing. With this Tuk Tuk tour, we also visit the local market, some of the local business that they produce bean curt for sale and visit the farmland where the farmer growing ginners, cucumbers, eggplants, lemongrass, corn, banana, papaya and mango etc. At the last part, we visit silk weaving workshop and learn how they make it before we go to visit the Buddha temple and lean more about religion in Cambodia and enjoy local lunch at the river view floating restaurant with a relaxing on the hammock before we back to Phnom Penh.

Our pick-up time will start at 7:30 AM or at 2:30 PM, so please be ready from that time. Our guide or driver will meet you in the lobby or check with the reception to avoid any confusion.

  • Mekong Island - Koh Dach, Phnom Penh, Cambodia
    Explore two of the Mekong Island by Tuk Tuk with your professional local guide who know very well about the local life of the people, crop, farmland and traditional weaving workshop and some of the Buddha's temple where it represented for the Budish country. On the first spot, your guide will bring you to explore the local villages on that island and visit one of the local business where they produce bean curt for sale and visit the local market that we can learn more how the local life look like. Then we have a chance to try some of local foods, local dissert etc. Continuedly, we get on our Tuk Tuk drive through the farmland where the most farming is gingers, corn, cucumbers and other vegetable farm. We also see the mango plantations and banana planation before we get to explore the silk island where the have a community silk factory that they willing to keep that tradition weaving style. A final, we visit Buddha's temple and learn about the religions in Cambodia.

It was beautiful to go on the back roads to get to the silk island and silk factory, the tour was excellent, the prices are super affordable when you buy on site, 1/3 to 1/5 of what you pay in the airport, just make sure you take a tuk-tuk with really good suspension. Ours had no suspension and ouch my back.

I would highly recommend this trip. It was great to see bits of the countryside and have Thong explain local agriculture, religion and culture. The silk weaving was fascinating. The stop to see how a local family makes bean curd was also a highlight. Thong is a very thoughtful and articulate guide.

Unser letzter Tag in Kambodscha und unser Guide Chea Thong und sein Fahrer machten diesen Tag auf den Inseln zu einem unvergesslichen Erlebnis. Wir haben nochmal sehr viel über Land & Leute erfahren und erleben dürfen. Ein rundum Wohlfühltag.
