We & several others we spoke to hadn't realised that this 'Hop on Hop Off' wasn't like the common overseas Hop on Hop Off Services, this one only went in one direction & once you've started you had no option except travel the full route to get back to starting point and join up with our cruise ship. It was a good way for some scenery but make sure to plan which stops, book for wine tasting on route & watch your time to keep up with their timetable.

If ever in Picton again, and wanting to do the wineries tour, - we would choose this way.
Entertaining and informative commentary as we made our way from Picton to Marlborough wine country. As you visit the wineries, the round trip also provides an opportunity to experience the depth and breadth of the Marlborough wine region.
A couple of tips from our experience, - book ahead for your tastings or lunch, … things can get busy. (We emailed and confirmed the week before our cruise.) Pick the stops/wineries you really want to visit, - three, … maybe four, will fill your day, etc.
