Matteo was great. He met us off the cruise with a sign that had our name on it. It’s an incredible shame that the greed of the cruise ships require over an hour drive to get to Florence and Pisa. Although not cheap, this is the way to do it. Matteo was wonderful, spoke English, engaged with the family and really made sure we saw and did the things we wanted to. We had a 3 year old and an elderly grandparent with us. Matteo navigated the narrow streets and pedestrian traffic to get us as close to where we needed to be as possible. He was attentive and responsive via WhatsApp and met us wherever we were to take us to our next destination. He lives in Pisa, so learning more about the city - outside of the tower - was fascinating. Again - it wasn’t cheap - but sitting in an air conditioned comfortable van with a knowledgeable driver that drove us at least 3.5 hours that day was worth it. We did also get skip the line tickets to David…so make sure you do that too.

We were able to see highlights of both Pisa and Rome and still have time for shopping. It was a wonderful experience.
