My husband and I had a great time! Our tour guide, Jonathan was energetic and helpful from the moment of pickup to drop off. We did the zip lines, ATVs and snorkel in the cave. Snorkeling in the cave was the coolest part of the trip, but we enjoyed them all. Lunch was also delicious. They have photographers along the way, so no need to bring your camera (it’s not safe to have it during the adventures anyway). I would definitely recommend Adventura Mayas and hopefully you’re lucky enough to get Jonathan as a guide!

Wow what a great excursion! Jamie was our guide for the day and helped make our day special! It was for our honeymoon and the weather was showing rain all day. Jamie made us feel better about the rain, and the rain ended up making it more fun! Jamie took pride in knowing the area and gave us a lot of information about the culture and community we were in. He made us feel safe when we did the snorkeling. When asked about putting on bug spray or sunblock. He told us we shouldn’t unless it was absolutely needed (which it was not needed). He said it helps protect the animals and environment we were visiting to help protect the wildlife, and I loved that he cared about that! Francisco Javier was our ATV guide and mannn!!!!! He was so fun! He made sure we were safe while having the best time possible. His energy was great! If I could book again knowing I would get those two guys. I would do it every time!

Just did this excursion, here are some things to keep in mind.
We found the price pretty reasonable for the day (128USD). We recommend bringing water shoes if you have them for the lagoon and cenote. All the locations have lockers to put your possessions in.
From our resort Bahia Principe Akumal the distance of driving to the locations was pretty close which was nice 20-30mins at the most.
We had 4 activities for the day snorkelling in the lagoon, 3 ziplines, ATVing, swimming in a cenote and lunch. Now something we were not aware of is depending on how the day is going they may reorganize your activities, which happened to us.
We started with the snorkelling in the lagoon in Akumal. They offer 2 types of life jackets the old school ones you inflate by blowing into it and regular life jackets. They ask if you are and strong swimmer or not and give you the respective one. The old school ones un-inflated still make you float and if you want to dive down a bit in the lagoon you can, with the new life jackets you won’t be able to. Lots of fish to see but the water is a bit murky and nothing to special. The path leading to the lagoon is very rough but short there is a place to put towels and shoes so you can wear them up until you get into the water.
We then headed to the location where the zip lining, ATVing, cenote and lunch is located another 20ish minute drive.
Now this is where our day got shuffled around a bit we ended up doing the lunch first which was really good (tacos) but it was really early like 10:30. We then did the 3 zip lines which was fun and they are pretty high lots of steep narrow stairs however if you have limited mobility.
After the zip lining we did the cenote which was really nice, again there is a place before you get into the water where you can leave your shoes. The cenote is really nice you have to wear life jackets, the water is very clear and pretty cold, lots of bats flying around, you’re able to climb up onto the rocks and jump in if you’d like.
We then finished with the ATVing which was a lot of fun they go pretty fast. The route is on roughly 11 miles of forest terrain. They try to sell you a lot on getting the ATV insurance 15USD for the first driver and 10 USD for the second. It’s up to you whether to take it or not we took it because I just felt safer in case anything minor happened and they tried to charge us 100-1000s of dollars.
Overall our guide Francisco was very good and kind. We would have preferred finishing with the cenote because you get hot and very dusty from atving. There are showers at the atv place but we didn’t want to be wet on the bus ride back. The whole day they are taking pictures of you and then you have the opportunity to buy them at the end for 55USD. We didn’t because that’s a lot for pictures, it’s too bad they don’t charge like 25USD because I think a lot more people would buy for that price.
