Swimming and snorkeling in a Cenote is a lifetime experience which can only be done in this part of the world. BTM has chosen the best cenotes (caves and sinkholes ) for you to enjoy. First we are going to visit a cave cenote with a breathtaking underground river with pristine waters and impressive rock formations, then we will visit an open cenote that looks like a huge natural swimming pool surrounded by mangroves and full of fish. You can follow our recomendations or if you have done your own research we can go to any cenote that you prefer.

We had an amazing time with our guide, Josh. He was friendly, fun, and incredibly knowledgeable. We learned so much about the cenotes and Mayan history/culture! We went to three cenotes- a cave, semi open, and open. We were completely alone for the first one and the others barely had other people. It was a truly private tour experience, not one of those overrun tourist trap type things. He asked us a lot of questions and continued to check in with us to make sure we were comfortable but could still get a great experience. We swam in the dark, got to see so many bats (ahem- Mayan butterflies), and even got to do a bit of underwater swimming. This tour is absolutely worth the money- we got to have an experience you absolutely cannot create for yourself
