I chose this tour for several reasons. Firstly it included Herculaneum as well as Pompeii. Secondly it included transport from the meeting point (which was conveniently near my hotel) to Pompeii, then to Herculaneum and back to where we met. It was also a 9.20am start and as I only arrived in Naples late the night before this was a godsend.
The driver (Giovanni) was excellent despite his limited English. He was a very safe and reliable driver as well as being friendly and helpful.
Our guide (Lucca) was super. He gave very good introductions to each place about what happened at that fateful time in AD79. He showed us the highlights of each site and made it entertaining and interesting, he clearly has a passion for the subject.
I would wholeheartedly recommend this tour to anyone wanting to visit both these sites and wants it to be as easy and convenient as you can get.
Thanks for a wonderful trip
