Before starting the climb, you can visit one of the info points of the Vesuvius National Park where you can receive useful information about the protected area and buy a map. From the Piazzale you can already enjoy a splendid view of the northern side of Mount Somma with the cognoli of Sant'Anastasia and Punta Nasone, the top of the ancient volcano which 1,132 metres high, opposite the cognoli of Ottaviano and Levante. While looking upwards, you can hold your breath and see from below what will be the ascent to the bottom edge of Sterminator Vesevo.

Loved our experience overall! Driver was great, no issues with where to be picked up/meet. Antonino was our personal tour guide for Herculaneum and Pompeii. Not only was he extremely nice and knowledgeable of everything, but we also had the benefit of not having to wait in any lines with him. Definitely worth booking!

Antonino was a great guy... He organized everything for us from train station pick up to an Almafi Coast Tour, a pompeii tour, and another transportation back to Rome went we left at the end of the day. Very smooth very nice.. Our family enjoyed ourselves
