Furnas valley, and its surroundings will be visited on this tour, on a 4x4 through famous and some hidden gems of the central side of the island. We will explore more than you can imagine, where are we going, there are no secret roads for us. All our experiences are made with a lot of safety and fun while visiting unique places inaccessible to most people. We are real locals, and you definitely will see the island in a different way after our tour, we will show you the azorean way of life! Remember we will be in nature during the experience, so dress and wear footwear accordingly to it. We will have free time to visit the thermal pools, so don't forget to bring a swimsuit and towel with you :) This is a Private Tour - only you/your group and the guide. Pedro gave us a wonderful and informative tour of Sete Cidades and some almost equally beautiful surrounding areas on May 29. We definitely experienced more than we thought we would in a four hour tour. No wasted time and unique experiences thanks to Pedro's knowledge and Jeep 4x4. His English was exceptional and he was happy to answer our many questions. We would definitely recommend tours with Pedro to any visitors to Sao Miguel.

After a punctual pickup, I had the opportunity to spend the afternoon with Pedro around Sete Cidades. The Jeep 4x4 offers a more comfortably intimate setting as well as access to some otherwise hard to reach locations. Pedro was knowledgeable about the island, its history, and local flora & fauna, but was also just fun to talk to. It was more like spending the day with a friend rather than a guide. I got to see some other beautiful locations that seemed all to ourselves. I definitely recommend booking a fun day with this tour.

We met Pedro at the cruise ship dock in Ponta Delgada and were so glad we chose him over other more pushy guides. He is an unassuming, friendly man full of stories about the island where he was born and raised and so obviously loves - we now know why there are so many hydrangeas across the island and why there is a blue and a green lake at Sete Cidades. He stopped whenever we wanted a special photo, and there were many of them, and we were able to reach scenic spots not accessible to other vehicles. He is professional and speaks fluent English. A great excursion and guide worth multiple stars!
