Sete Cidades has been our backyard since we were kids and this tour is to guide you into our backyard. Sete Cidades and its surroundings will be visited on this tour, on a 4x4 through famous and some hidden gems of the west side of the island. We will explore more than you can imagine, where are we going, there are no secret roads for us. All our experiences are made with a lot of safety and fun while visiting unique places inaccessible to most people. We will tell you stories about the places we're going to, but not the boring ones, only the interesting and funny ones :) We are real locals, and you definitely will see the island differently after our tour, we will show you the Azorean way of life! This is a Private Tour - only you/your group and the guide. This tour includes: Pick-up/drop-out at your hotel. Insurances. The tour does not include: Cost of lunch. We had a beautiful day with Pedro. His 4WD vehicle was able to go off road to places we had never seen before. Coincidentally our last guide to the Azores was with his Uncle. Both are awesome. Due to fog we were unable to see the Sete Cicades from offroad but we ended up at the S. Nicolau church where we walked around the cute town. We then drove to see the green and the blue lake. Pedro shared the folklore of the area. We had a delicious lunch with the best dessert - a queijadas da vila at Restaurante Lagoa Azul. Next stop was Mosteiros and it was lovely. We drove back through pretty towns looking at homes for sale before stopping in a local grocery to try to get more of the delicious desserts to take home. Pedro was awesome and we can't wait to return again to tour with him

We had a pleasure of spending 5 days with Pedro. It was absolutely unique and memorable experience: amazing views, swimming in an ocean heated by natural springs, great food -just to name a few. We spoke to several people who went to this area with different guides or by rental car and they were all surprised how many more highlights we saw. Pedro is an excellent guide who knows how to listen and customize the tour according to your specific wishes. Can"t wait to return. Obrigados Pedro!

Pedro was early to pick me up and was very friendly and outgoing from the start. He shared a lot of information about the island itself and his life growing up there. He gave me plenty of time to stop and look around at the viewpoints and offered up stories and jokes throughout the day along with incredible views. This experience was something I had been looking forward to for a long time and it exceeded my expectations and was the perfect day!
