We were in Ponta Delgada on a Thursday and there were no group tours on that day so we arranged a private tour for the two of us. Our guide Diogo was great -- we learned a lot about Azorean food and history and sampled some great local dishes. I would highly recommend this tour.

My friend ( of many years) and i went on this tour at 10:00 am on 04/19/2023 . There were a number of participants. We were divided into 3 groups. Our group was 4 and Rafael was our tour guide. What a fantastic historical/ food tour!!! We learned so much about the Azores, Ponta Delgada and FOOD! We tried local fruit, vegetables, fish, Azorean chorizo, cheese, honey, dessert and wine. The tour lasted 3 1/2 hours. It was worth every euro! Rafael was informative and very personable. We highly recommend.

Tour guide Micheal was great but talk more about the history of the island and not the food. The restaurant he took us to was okay except the last one with the fried fish was great. Will not do it again since google could give you all the information you need.
