Kayak Tours with Amazing Caves, sea life and Marine Biologist .

Ricardo is a very knowledgeable and excellent tour guide. We throughly enjoyed the kayak tour along the Algarve coastline. For us, this was the highlight of our whole trip. From the start, Ricardo was very welcoming and provided all the necessary gear including: - Large waterproof dry bags, strapped to the kayaks to take some water, food, towels etc. - Waterproof phone casings, so you can take photos without worrying about dropping your phone or getting it wet. - Buoyancy vests for safety and of course the kayaks. Ricardo was very clear with his instructions to ensure everyone knew what they were doing and keep everything safe and running smoothly. The round trip was 3-4 hours. Initially, you are towed out by boat to the starting area near the lighthouse before kayaking along the coastline visiting some unbelievably stunning caves. There are plenty of stops along the way with opportunities to take photos as well as Ricardo talking through lots of interesting facts about the local marine life and formation of the caves. You have plenty of time to look around the caves with no real rush. If visiting from Portimão, take the local bus (52) to Ferragudo centre and the beach is a short walk away. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable but also a great speaker and made the tour very interesting and entertaining. He was also very patient and answered all our questions on the tour. Much more fun and interesting that a boat ride.

We had an amazing time on our tour, what a great way to explore the coast with a local. Wayyy better than going to the overcrowded Benagil caves. We got to explore inside some very quiet and epic looking caves along the coast. Ricardo was very knowledgeable, had many fun facts, and we felt very safe in his hands. Would highly recommend to anyone in Algarve.
