I recently had the best travel experience of the entirety of my travel experiences. This was in large part due to the six-day tour, (through Porto, Braga, Fátima, Coimbra, Guimaraes, Aveiro and Batalha, from Lisbon) led by Christina. Prior to this tour, with one single exception, I travelled without having joined any tours. Thanks to Christina, I will never again travel without a tour guide. What was impressive about Christina’s guiding our group through numerous sites and attractions, is her expansive knowledge of the cultural, historical, political, religious and geopolitical aspects of each of the visual sites and artefacts encountered. Apart from her vast knowledge, and how well she articulated it to the group, Christina has a capacity of friendliness and passion with which she connects to the group, both collectively and individually. Christina embodies an exquisite fusion of professionalism and intimacy which enlivens the entire journey by way of an inclusion I personally felt at a deeper level. If I return to Portugal, with a view of touring the south of Portugal, I will not hesitate seeking Christian as a tour guide.

What a fun trip! Cristina provided a very educational and fun trip. Her deep knowledge of Portuguese and Catholic histories provided keen insights to the places we visited. The hotels during the trip were quite nice topped off with our final night at the exquisite Hotel Urgeirica. On a couple of occasions she shared her favorite gems of lunch restaurants. Yes, we walked a LOT, and yes, it rained on us a couple of days. NO, these did not dampen our spirits at all! Our driver Pedro was friendly and very accommodating. Our only regret: not realizing we could’ve booked Cityrama for our final day after the six-day tour.

We had plans to surf north Portugal by ourselves without any escort but people rarely speak English there. So we decided to take this tour and now we are completely satisfied.
