The perfect Overview of Porto! You will be picked up at your accommodations and we’ll start to explore the city.  The rhythm is slow-paced with lots of conversation, historical facts, curiosities, stops for photos and to enjoy the views. We’ll go through places like the Sé Cathedral and Miragaia and along the river Douro to Massarelos with his bridges. On our way back to the historical center we’ll explore Virtudes, Clérigos, Vitória and learn all their history.  After, we´ll cross to Gaia, see the D.Luis bridge and the Port wine neighborhood.  (Only for All Day Tour) - We’ll have lunch at one of the fisherman's villages around Porto and after lunch, what better than a Port? We’ll explore Gaia, the natural reserve, and visit one of the oldest Cellars to learn their history and to taste their Ports.  We´ll finish back at your accommodations.     We'll continue to explore the historical centre, going through it's oldest neighborhoods like Clérigos (clergymen), Virtudes and Vitória. We'll learn the stories and histories behind the old buildings and landmarks, like Lello Bookstore and Clérigos tower, and their importance in the history and evolution of Porto.

A unique way to tour Porto's street and surrounding area in an evocative and fun way. My guide was friendy, very knowledgeable, and happy to taylor the tour to my particular interests. He had good tips on best places to visit together with local locations to eat and drink. Thoroughly recommended.

Of all the tours we did in Portugal (Lisbon and Porto), the half-morning tour with Joao and Peter was by far the best! Joao was super engaged with our kids (8 and 11), funny, spirited, and very knowledgeable. He even got my daughter a pastel de nata with a birthday candle on it because her birthday was coming up. I appreciated some of the historical places we saw, but I especially loved the modern art around the city that he showed us that is relevant to today. I also want to point out that not only did he stop for great photo opportunities, he took really fun posed but also “candid” photos and videos that made them much more interesting. He also dropped us off at a more local seafood spot for lunch which was super delicious. Highly, highly recommend this tour!

My wife and I loved the side car, loved the wonderful views and beautiful buildings of Porto, but what made the tour memorable was our guide / driver João. Great stories, wonderfully told. Loved the tie-ins to Portugal’s rich history and the country’s place in world history. But the best was João’s humor and cheerfulness. We highly recommend this tour.
