The perfect Overview of Porto! You will be picked up at your accommodations and we’ll start to explore the city.  The rhythm is slow-paced with lots of conversation, historical facts, curiosities, stops for photos and to enjoy the views. We’ll go through places like the Sé Cathedral and Miragaia and along the river Douro to Massarelos with his bridges. On our way back to the historical center we’ll explore Virtudes, Clérigos, Vitória and learn all their history.  After, we´ll cross to Gaia, see the D.Luis bridge and the Port wine neighborhood.  (Only for All Day Tour) - We’ll have lunch at one of the fisherman's villages around Porto and after lunch, what better than a Port? We’ll explore Gaia, the natural reserve, and visit one of the oldest Cellars to learn their history and to taste their Ports.  We´ll finish back at your accommodations.     We'll continue to explore the historical centre, going through it's oldest neighborhoods like Clérigos (clergymen), Virtudes and Vitória. We'll learn the stories and histories behind the old buildings and landmarks, like Lello Bookstore and Clérigos tower, and their importance in the history and evolution of Porto.

    Eventually we'll make our way to the mouthe of the river Douro following the river and enjoying the great views bu the water.

This is definitely an essential tour to see the real Porto! Our guides, Joao and Peter, gave us the most wonderful morning showing us around their city. We went to all the key landmarks, and Joao explained the history of each. We also saw places that we’d never have found by ourselves and got lots of tips and recommendations for places to go. Joao even organised an impromptu celebration for my partner’s birthday! The motorbike and sidecar ride felt very safe - helmets provided - and we travelled slowly to ensure we took in all there was to see. Highly recommend! Thank you PortoSideCar tours!

The sidecar tour was hands down one of the highlights of our trip to Porto! From the moment we hopped into the vintage sidecar, we knew we were in for something special. Our guide was not only incredibly knowledgeable about the city’s history and culture, but also super friendly and fun — it felt like exploring with a local friend. We cruised through the charming backstreets, past landmarks like the Sé Cathedral and Clérigos Tower, and even stopped for a breathtaking view over the Douro River. The pace was perfect, with plenty of time for photos and little stories along the way. It was such a unique and exciting way to see the city — far more personal and immersive than a typical bus tour. Highly recommend this to anyone visiting Porto. Whether it’s your first time or your fifth, seeing the city from a sidecar gives you a whole new perspective!
