Wonderful day (4 friends and our guide Giselle). On time pickup and interesting drive to Aveiro with good descriptions of countryside and history. Nice boat ride in canal at Aviero and delicious stop at pastries/coffee shop. Drove to Coimbra with excellent walking tour of university and historical town. Authentic Portuguese lunch was a highlight. Our guide was knowledgeable and very helpful

Spending a full day with Joao Jesus was amazing. He was personable, friendly, knowledgeable, and made us feel like we were lifelong friends. The drives to Aveiro, Coimbra, and Costa Nova went by quickly based on the easy conversation. Joao even took us to a local suckling pig restaurant recommended by our Portuguese friends. You could tell that Joao studies and puts his full effort into his profession. We highly recommend.

This is a great way to experience two very different towns in Portugal. Our enjoyment was greatly enhanced by our wonderful guide João, whose enthusiasm and deep knowledge helped us to appreciate Aveiro and Coimbra beyond each town’s obvious beauty and charm. We also appreciated how flexible João was, providing plenty of opportunities to shape the tour to our particular interests and providing time for us to soak up the atmosphere. From pickup to drop off, everything about this day was special.
