The guide, Pedro, was excellent. Arrived on time at the hotel, very polite, considerate and kind. Also extremely knowledgeable. Lunch at the restaurant was also very good. All in all, well worth the cost

This was our second of three tours with Pedro. Picked up outside our apartment, we drove to Santa Maria da Feira, with its picturesque, almost Disney-style castle, then to little café for a coffee and to taste ‘Fogaça’- one of the many tasty pastries of Portugal which has an impressive history of 500 years. This ritual is Pedro’s ‘signature start’ to every tour! The next stop was in the ‘Venice of Portugal’– Aviero, a cruise around their canal system, after which there was another of round of Portugal’s sweets, the ‘Ovos Moles’, before a drive around Ria de Aveiro to view the habitat of the vast variety of wildlife of the region. A visit to Costa Nova beach, with its colourfully painted fishermen’s cottages along the beachfront, was followed by a substantial lunch. This ‘restaurant ritual ‘is a great feature of Pedro’s tours, and one we can highly recommend – good conversation oiled by Portuguese wines! For lovers of fine porcelain, the last stop took us to the famous Lugar da Vista Alegre, the Chapel, the Museum, with a walk through the production line, before being tempted in their show room. This is a very relaxed tour, lots of sunshine, fresh air and wind in the hair. It was easy to doze off on the drive back to Porto! Susan & Graeme 5*
