Amazing day in the Douro Valley, a must do if you’re in Porto! Hugo was friendly, knowledgeable, funny, and made this experience very enjoyable. Our group was small and intimate making the day feel very special and personal. Highly recommend!

Hugo was a brilliant guide who really made sure we had a wonderful day. He is extremely knowledgeable about The Douro Valley port and wine industry, and he could answer all of our questions. He was thoughful, and really made it a fun memorable day, taking care of everything along the way. We loved every minute! We noticed other tours which were large groups, going in convoy. We felt that Viva Tours were authentic and genuinely only a small group in our nice transport, which made for a much more personalised day. I would Highly recommend others to book with Hugo at Viva, you won't regret it.

The Douro Valley Full-Day Wine Tasting with Lunch Tour from Porto was a fantastic experience and a perfect way to spend my last day in Porto before traveling home. I was in Portugal in part to walk the Camino, and Hugo's contact was given to me by a colleague. Even though my request for the tour was last minute, and I was just one person, Hugo went over and above to come through. He arranged the perfect tour, complete with hotel pick-up and drop-off service. It really was the whole package, and the special kindnesses made this solo traveler feel right at home. What did I love about the tour, you ask? I loved the small group experience -- the comfortable Van -- the selection of wine and port tastings paired with olive oils as you've never tasted before -- a processing tour -- a delicious lunch, and more wine and port (with a dessert, of course) -- the scenery was spectacular -- the information about the region sincerely delivered and the traditional boat cruise a surprise extra! and more.....
