SIDE-OFF is the first Windsurf School in Oporto, working under a total mobility concept. Certified by the national entity Federação Portuguesa de Vela, we operate on the Introduction and Evolution Levels with Windsurf classes for Adults and Kids. Private and Semi-Private classes (2 persons). With our gear aboard the School Van, we provide our Students the possibility to learn to Windsurf with the best conditions each day. Besides Windsurf Classes, we also provide rentals for Windsurf and SUP.

  • Although the experience/activity is suitable for kids from 6 years old and up, younger infants can come to our spot with their family and assist the activity (for example their brother or sister). We can host them at our beach spot, where we have wind cutters with all the gear and free bottled water for everyone. Even if they don't do the activity, they can come and feel the atmosphere.
  • The person on a wheelchair cannot participate in the activity but they can come to near the beach and breath the good energies from their friends who enjoy the experience.) - Should we change?
  • SIDE-OFF experiences are dependent on Weather conditions. Your booking will be confirmed as soon as the forecast is favourable.

You can cancel up to 24 hours in advance of the experience for a full refund.
  • For a full refund, cancel at least 24 hours before the scheduled departure time.
  • If you cancel less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time, the amount you paid will not be refunded.
  • Any changes made less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time will not be accepted.
  • Cut-off times are based on the experience’s local time.
  • This experience requires good weather. If it’s canceled due to poor weather, you’ll be offered a different date or a full refund.

While in Porto I decided to take windsurf classes and I couldn't be more happy with the experience. Simon is a great windsurf instructor, very attentive and patient. After a few hours I already felt progress and I was having fun. The classes inspired me to continue with windsurfing! I can recommend this school 100%.

Highly recommended! Windsurfing is a fun sport that everyone can try and Simon really takes the time to teach some skills and make the experience fun! Class times are also flexible, so if you are more experienced Simon will try his best to find a time slot with more wind. Not to mention this is a good workout to burn those extra beers!!

J'avais deja une bonne experience en planche a voile et ce fut une super experience pour progresser sur des manoeuvres un peu plus technique (water start et jib). Le matériel est des très bonne qualité avec beaucoup de flotteurs different. Le moniteur est très sympathique et pédagogue
