Overall a good trip, good use of a day in Porto. This tour combines two UNESCO World Heritage locations.
The meeting point was easy to locate even with Sao Bento station under construction. Several trips were starting at the same time in the morning, but LivingTours' check-in system with multiple agents instructing which bus and guide you need to find helped avoid chaos, hats off to them. I felt that the trip started unnecessarily early, but it's likely a consideration for traffic in and out of Porto.
Sanctuary of Bom Jesus Do Monte is certainly a highlight of the day. We had about 45m of free time after a quick introduction by the guide. We were there early enough it wasn't busy at all. We then got a guided walking tour of Braga and a tour of Se de Braga. The Se interior was impressive, but we had to stand in the courtyard of for good 20 minutes with nowhere to sit, listening to our guide's Portuguese history lesson. That was tough on my old knees and frankly felt like "a filler". (He could have told this story anywhere- for example, the bus-- in retrospect I think we were waiting on another tour to vacate the part of the cathedral he wanted to guide.) We had sufficient free time to grab lunch on our own after. The tour description says 1hr at Guimaraes Castle, but we spent far less time, basically doing one circular track of the wall in single file. Which was fine, I don't think we would have gotten much more by having more time to explore there. Our guide shared some things to know about Portuguese paper production, wine production, and the Camino de Santiago as we walked through Guimaraes which I think enriched the day. Free time in Guimaraes was definitely shorter than the tour description, but enough to look through the various World Heritage inscribed locations that are well marked throughout town.
The bus was equipped with a USB-A charging port, which I took advantage of all day. Returned to Praça da Batalha in Porto -- which is not exactly "back at the meeting point" as the tour description stated, some of my fellow tourists were confused about that-- at 5:30PM. Which worked out well for me as I was meaning to grab dinner at the nearby Cafe Santiago after anyway.
