    Our accredited guide will drive you to Quinta do Cume (example, we can visit other wineries depending on availability), one of our favourite wineries in the region. You will visit the winery in the company of a local guide, learning about the production of the wines. Next, a wine tasting session takes place close from the nature, overlooking the vines.

    On our way out from Douro Valley we pass by the city of Peso da Régua. This is the most populated city of the Douro Valley. It was once an important place of commerce of wine and a growing touristic destination. The Museum of Douro is a local attraction to the visitors of Peso da Régua.

  • Note: Visits at the wineries and river cruise are not fully private and are open to external participants.
You can cancel up to 24 hours in advance of the experience for a full refund.
  • For a full refund, cancel at least 24 hours before the scheduled departure time.
  • If you cancel less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time, the amount you paid will not be refunded.
  • Any changes made less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time will not be accepted.
  • Cut-off times are based on the experience’s local time.

Helio was an excellent driver and guide. He took us down the twisty roads that led to the wineries with ease and confidence! The wineries had great service and great products! The boat ride was a fun way to see the impressive valley(bring a hat and wear sunscreen) The lunch was traditional Portuguese food-delicious! There isn't anything negative to say about this well planned, well executed, outing. I even got a nice nap on the way home in the van! Thanks Helio !

We do not usually enjoy cruises. However, this Douro Valley Tour was an exception. Starting with picking us up at our hotel on time, our guide, Sofia was the consummate professional. She provided tremendous information without being intrusive. Sofia was solicitous of the needs of everyone in the group. She was a careful yet skillful driver which was needed due to the hills, curves, and heavy rain. Sofia stayed on time without rushing. If you take this tour, be sure to request Sofia

A group of 8 friends took the private Douro valley wine tour from Porto in April. We enjoyed the beautiful landscape and the wines of the Douro region very much. Our driver and guide Sofia did a magnificent job. Sofia made the trip very amusing and informative while taking special attention for the group’s interests and requests. Great job Sofia! Obrigado!
