Although small in size, Portugal has a rich and varied gastronomy, based on the Mediterranean diet but with several influences. In this Cooking Class you will learn to prepare traditional Portuguese dishes based upon typical recipes. Menus are always seasonal and incorporate local products wherever possible.You will prepare and enjoy a four course meal: appetizer, soup, main course and dessert. After the class you can enjoy a well deserved meal with the dishes you prepared, paired with different Portuguese wines. We had the most wonderful experience in Jorge’s cooking class. From the moment we arrived, he made us feel completely welcome. Jorge is not only kind and warm, but also a truly knowledgeable teacher who explains everything with care and clarity. The food we made was absolutely delicious—and he accommodated our gluten allergy effortlessly, without compromising flavor or experience. Every dish was thoughtfully prepared, and the first wine we tried was especially spectacular! And that almond tart… We can’t wait to make it at home! If you’re in Porto, don’t miss this class. It’s a perfect blend of local flavors, hands-on learning, and genuine hospitality. Thank you, Jorge!

Amazing authentic Portuguese cooking class!! We learned so much and the food was truly DELICIOUS!! We loved Vitor and Jorge - they made us feel so welcome in Porto. If you are looking for a cooking class, we could not recommend enough!

I'm very late writing my review as my America's Test Kitchen Taste of Portugal trip was late Sept/early Oct; but my experience with Vitor and his partner (apologies that I've forgotten a name) was fabulous. An amazing afternoon of cooking, learning, insightful stories, funny jabs and barbs all in good humor. Vitor was outstanding, I was very impressed with his knowledge, ability to teach, keep it fun and witty, etc. If you are looking for something fun, this is a must. Thank you Vitor!
