Listen and witness the Lisbon and Coimbra playing techniques. Discover the Coimbra Fado, completely unique to the Portuguese people and sung live by a male singer, a former student at the Coimbra University, as tradition demands. Then, discover Amalia Rodrigues, the queen of Portuguese Fado. Watch how she transformed traditional Fado and brought unprecedented recognition. This was excellent!! We were new to Fado, and this was a great introduction. The video was worthwhile and informative to us newcomers as background. Of course, most importantly, the musicians were really very experienced and talented. Much better than I expected. Definitely recommend - it was great!!

An amazing show: unfortunately I couldn't understand a word of the songs (the presentations were in English instead), but the passion, the emotion, the atmosphere were absolutely touching. Highly recommended!
