Portugal Active’s Horseback Riding Tour will take you through the breathtaking scenery of Viana do Castelo. You’ll pass through fields of flowers, mountain trails and even the paradisiac beaches* of the city. The tour can be made for anyone – from a beginner to a professional – we have horses for all types of riders. It will be supervised by an experienced teacher who will guide and teach you how to better control your horse. *During bathing season, there are legal restrictions on horseback riding and it isn't allowed to ride on the beach sand therefore our route will be adapted accordingly.

This was a totally magical experience. Claudia knows her horses well and is patient with showing me how to handle mine. We walked, trotted, and galloped through the meadows, on country lanes, roman roads, and the beach with the Atlantic Ocean as a backdrop. I couldn't have asked for more! Highly recommend!

It was magical to be able to gallop down the viana beach with my partner on valentines day, even without any past experience riding horses.

What a wonderful addition to my trip! We rode beautiful Frisian horses on the beach, wandered a bit through the country side. I was confused by the location but the barn is right there! Hidden from the rode, a small driveway and the VianoEquestre sign is on the block fence. Claudia is quite the horsewoman! Very knowledgeable, professional and fun! Thank you! I hope to see you again on another adventure in Portugal!
