Portugal Active’s Horseback Riding Tour will take you through the breathtaking scenery of Viana do Castelo. You’ll pass through fields of flowers, mountain trails and even the paradisiac beaches* of the city. The tour can be made for anyone – from a beginner to a professional – we have horses for all types of riders. It will be supervised by an experienced teacher who will guide and teach you how to better control your horse. *During bathing season, there are legal restrictions on horseback riding and it isn't allowed to ride on the beach sand therefore our route will be adapted accordingly.

It was a really great tour in the fields, near to the beach with very beautiful horses and a nice and very friendly riding guide. Me and my friend could really enjoy this summer day together with the horses Emily and Vialto. Many thanks for this amazing experience.

This was a totally magical experience. Claudia knows her horses well and is patient with showing me how to handle mine. We walked, trotted, and galloped through the meadows, on country lanes, roman roads, and the beach with the Atlantic Ocean as a backdrop. I couldn't have asked for more! Highly recommend!

It was magical to be able to gallop down the viana beach with my partner on valentines day, even without any past experience riding horses.
