In Fanal forest you will find a green open area with some cows and lots of huge ancient trees. This really looks like one of those fairy tale magical places. Coming back in one of the greenest Levadas is just the cherry on the cake!

Great route and a very knowledgeable guide. Was great to just be able to soak in the scenery and hear about the history, local knowledge and history. Had a fab day out explored another corner of Madeira I haven’t seen

Spectacular run through the Fanal Forest and Ribeira Da Janela with a brilliant guide. Dino did everything possible to make this one of the highlight’s of my holiday. Professional, friendly and super knowledgeable about the ancient forest, Madeira and running. The ascent was a little challenging but Dino made sure to check I was happy with the pace. Runs like this are what makes all the training worthwhile.
