Incredible we went as part of a day tour but you could easier get lost here due to how large it is and the fog. Ground is wet and soggy so sensible shoes are must it’s also a lot colder here so recommend a jacket. Free to get in and public loos although they aren’t nice at all. The forest itself is enchanting and it’s a truly beautiful place.

Excellent eerie experience up in the mountains. Took my two daughters under 3 and it was safe for them. We just wandered around taking in the sites on the trail. Cost is free! The trees were incredible. Would recommend boots or at the very least running shoes as it can get muddy and rocky with all the tree roots everywhere.

The Amazing fanal forest in the mist/clouds, one minute 27 degrees the next down to 11 degrees, cold and wet but well worth a visit (boots and cagoule needed just in case )
