It was a pleasant and nice experience to get to know the local market. The two highlights for us were Blandys winelodge and Rua de Poncha. Doesn't really seem the food experiences were completely inner. But overall a pleasant and nice experience with a pleasant guide.

This is a great, well paced tour. We hit on a lot of the main Madeiran foods and wines while learning a lot about the island - including about various fruits and flowers. I highly recommend this tour.

Great relaxed host - we missed the start due to an error with start point but met at next point and Matt explained what we had missed so we could go back if we wanted. Generous Madeira wine tasting at Blandy and good explanations as to their history. We covered a great variety of Madeiran specialities, cake and biscuits, chocolate, fruit at the Market, rum punch whilst you bought your shopping! Traditional pork dish (bit tough) marinated tuna with maize and bread - very good and were offered beer and wines or nonalcoholic drinks, as appropriate. Toilet stops were offered, we were able to see historical parts of the city we may never have found and during our weeks holiday we re-visited many of those places - except for roof top bar which we couldn't remember????
