    "It is the highest cape in Europe, at an elevation of 580 m, and is famous for its suspended glass platform. The Cabo Girão viewpoint, situated on the highest promontory in Europe, at an elevation of 580 m, offers a vertiginous view of the fajãs of Rancho and Cabo Girão – small areas of cultivated land at the foot of the cliff – as well as magnificent panoramic views over the ocean and the municipalities of Câmara de Lobos and Funchal. The viewpoint has been renovated, and a suspended glass platform, called a skywalk, was built. It is an excellent spot to practice paragliding and base jumping. Recently, the Portuguese parachutist Mário Pardo performed a spectacular motorcycle leap here. Nearby is the Chapel of Nossa Senhora de Fátima (Our Lady of Fátima), built in 1951 and one of the main pilgrimage sites of the island." (visitmadeira.pt)

Fantastic all day tour with Gabriel, he made the tour so enjoyable. The off roading was fab and enjoyed by everyone on the tour. The little quirky questions Gabriel would ask at a cross roads, shall we do this? which way shall we go and then he would speed off up a steep steep hill, engine roaring and laughing with us. He drove around a large area so you got to see different sides to the West of Maderia.

There is literary nothing in this Jeep ride. 1. Jeeps are 30 years old, uncomfortable and rough, the people sitting at the back keep their head 90 degrees all the time and by the end of the trip you would have back pain + neck pain. 2. You keep going off road, bumpy roads to see banana and sugarcane plantations which you could see all over Madeira. 3. And if it’s a rainy / foggy day then you are screwed even more as you see nothing and if you visiting for more than 3 days then the points which they have in the list you will better see them by yourself if you rent a car.
