Throughout the year Madeira has different species of dolphins and whales journeying through its blue waters. Whether you come in summer or winter, the chances are high you’ll see one of these amazing creatures. We stop for a swim during the summer season. Snorkelling equipment is subject to a cash deposit. Relax on the deck with a refreshing drink from the onboard bar. We are very committed to a responsible dolphin and whale watching experience and passing our knowledge to you. We believe we can make a difference when we respect the wildlife, collect all garbage found on the sea and reduce the of single use plastic as much as we can. We ensure a timely departure for all our guests. Please arrive to our office in Funchal Marina 30 minutes before departure where we will exchange your ticket for a boarding card. Please note that if you miss the boat, you will not be eligible for a refund.

The tour was well organised and the crew were really friendly and welcoming. Saw two pods of dolphins, unfortunately no whales (which is what I was hoping for really) but you cannot predict the wildlife and was still amazing nonetheless. The staff came round telling us about the type of species we saw. Plenty of room on the boat and didn’t feel crowded like the other more popular boat/catamaran tours so we were very pleased we picked Seaborn. The crew collected any rubbish they found along the way and seemed very invested in the seas and the wildlife and Madeira! The only thing that was a little disappointing for me, the first half of the trip was all about scouting for wildlife and after there was a short stop for swimming it didn’t seem like there was any looking for animals after this. I understand we were on a time scale but I was so keen to see some whales, just wasn’t lucky enough in the first half of the trip, and we took the more coastal route back which kept us closer I guess. Either way, amazing trip. If you’re a big animal enthusiast I would say to keep your expectations low as there is only really 1 hour dedicated to seeing any type of wildlife. Would definitely recommend this catamaran tour though, if you want an easy going experience.

Spent 3 hours on this catamaran with the friendliest crew! We saw sperm whales 3 or 4 times during the trip. The cat is comfortable and not overcrowded. The crew try to make sure everyone gets to see! Bar on board and you can get off and have a swim . Perfect trip. Highly recommend

what a magnificent day sailing by beautiful Funchal’s coastline. We spotted a pod of whales, and took a refreshing swim in the Atlantic Ocean. Overall a wonderful tour indeed!
