We started this course in the village of Porto da Cruz and ended in Machico. The route is made by footpath, once used by locals to transport their crops from Porto da Cruz to Machico south. Along the way we have fabulous views of the north coast and in some days you can see the island of Porto Santo.

A superb coastal & valley small group walk with excellent guide Maria who was only too happy to share her knowledge & love of Madeira wildlife. Pick up was on time & we felt in very safe hands throughout the walk.

Susanna hat uns wunderbar durch diese anspruchsvolle wunderschöne Tour geführt, es gab so viel zu sehen und sie hat alles wunderbar erklärt. Das Tempo war moderat, ich habe mich zu jeder Zeit sicher und gut aufgehoben gefühlt. Die Ausblicke waren fantastisch und abwechslungsreich, das war eine der schönsten Touren auf Madeira. Vielen vielen Dank, wenn Madeira dann nur mit Euch *****

Another great walk with Suzanna - pick up was on time, the enthusiasm and information sharing were top class. The route itself was very good with some great views. Highly recommended, this is our 5th walk with Free Spirit and we wouldn't look anywhere else
