Highly recommend this private tour!!! Val is like an encyclopedia - he is full of knowledge re the true history of Portugal and many more interesting facts. He took us to places where tourists were nil or limited, allowing us to truly experience the beautiful island of Madeira.

Val=perfection. My fiance and I had the most amazing time! Val took us on such a varied adventure from off roading to a quiet hike and stopping to check out local drinks/eats for midday and lunch. The fresh Poncha was amazing! He is from the island and gave history, fun facts and recommendations for later in our short trip. Loved his laid back style,humor and willingness to share on any topic that popped up. We switched between laughter and comments of ‘that is so cool’ or ‘that is breathtaking’ the whole time. Definitely opt for the open roof as Val commented ‘the views are vertical’ so standing up not only looks nice but the breeze is also refreshing. Thank you so much Val!!
