Diogo, our tour guide, came on time. He spoke good English and was very accommodating. Although he did not go with us inside the attractions, he provided us a map with instructions and recommended spots. He also gave us context to the attractions, as well as interesting facts about Sintra and Cascais.

Pena palace was the only attraction on our list when we toured to Sintra last August as one of our day trips from Lisbon. Just outside the Railway station, we met a tour guide and he introduces us to the real magician, Diogo. Otherwise, we never experience the beautiful Sintra. He pick us from Sintra Railway station and dropped us at Cascais in the evening. The time between that was magical. Veritable heaven on earth, the small city's rolling hills are clad with vibrant vegetation and fairytale-like villas separated by cobblestone streets. The star of the show is the colorful Palácio Nacional de Pena, which was built to be a romantic getaway for Queen Maria II and her husband. There's also the Palacio Nacional de Sintra, the Monserrate Palace, the Castle of the Moors, and the Quinta da Regaleira. A special thanks for introducing Piriquita to us. The pastries were Travesseiros and Queijadas were amazing. Thank you very much Diogo for the wonderful experience. You made us feel & experience Sintra at its best.
