Instead of hiring a car, we decided to book 3 tours during our Sao Miguel stay, Full Day Tour to Furnas with Terra Nostra Gardens, Sete Cidades & Lagoa and Full Day Tour to Nordeste. We did not regret for a minute, our 4 x 4 trips were booked with with Greenzone Tours and our driver was Ricardo each time. What an amazing Guide he is! His love and enthusiasm for the island is wonderful and extremely infectious, making our holiday to the Azores one of the best we ever had. He took us to all the beautiful major sites but also to many stunning areas which are off the beaten track and which we may never have discovered without him. Being an Azorean, Ricardo's all round knowledge was brilliant, he was informative and considerate, making each trip interesting yet fun. We couldn't have experienced this superb island in a better way. Thank you so much to Ricardo and Greenzone Tours.
