This Rio Formosa area really peaked my curiosity when I was researching information prior to my first ever visit to Portugal. I spent most of the week near Olhao, exploring and doing various activities. I didn’t have a whole day or a half day to take a longer boat tour, so I took the 2 1/2 hour sunset boat trip to two islands in Rio Formosa with odyssey. I was really surprised at what a great time I had, and how beautiful it was! Our skipper was exceptional, both in his descriptions of the area, history of the “sandbar“ islands, & their commercial success. we had a chance to stop and walk around for half an hour or a little longer on two islands, to see the little homes that had been built, and the natural beaches on the opposite side of the islands. The second island had several restaurants, and I had a great time eating fresh oysters. I highly recommend this 2 1/2 hour sunset boat cruise from this company, as they did a fabulous time, and I really had fun. I also felt it was a really good value. — 2 1/2 hours for €30.

Great boat trip! Stop at 2 islands for a quick look around… managed a beer and some seafood. Beautiful out on the water. Claudio was a great guide.

The views were amazing and the stops we took on the islands were very nice. The tour guide was very helpful with everything and my friends and I had a great time!
