Our day with Antnio was amazing. We were able to explore Pena Palace, Moorish Castle, Regaleira, and Moserrate. He also took us to a quaint cafe for lunch and two viewing sites along the ocean. He was very attentive and made sure we didn't get lost. Highly recommend tour.

We were first time visitors to Sintra, English speaking and traveling with one other couple so we were a party of 4. I chose Classic Sintra and Antonio in particular because the reviews sounded great. My communication with him before we arrived was excellent. He lives in Sintra and loves his home so I thought that a tour given by him would be wonderful.I would love to rate a 5 also, but I can't. We went to Pena Palace, Cascais and Cabo da Roca. The 4 of us fit comfortably in his vehicle. If there were 6 of us, it would have been too tight. I thought we would have a guided tour through the Palace and on our journey. Antonio didn't speak much and what he did say, I couldn't understand. I don't know if it was because of his accent or because of road noise since we were sitting in the back of his van. Maybe it was just a bad day for him. Antonio didn't go into the Palace with us. We bought the audio tour at Pena Palace but it didn't work. It was a beautiful palace but we didn't know the significance of anything yet saw other tour groups walking with their guides enjoying learning about the details. Antonio was a good dependable driver. I was disappointed in the guidance given on this tour as the rest of our party was too. Before you book a tour, double check that your guide will go with you into the Palace.

Antonio not only communicated well about our personalized tour before the trip, he clearly understood our travel style and thoughts as well as limitations. He was a delightful guide for our entire trip. We went to places that were not in guidebooks, avoided lines and areas that would be crowded and disappointing and knew all the tips and tricks to making each stop easy and fascinating. He gave us options and found us a beautiful place on the coast for lunch. We saw a special Sintra though the eyes of a local who loves where he lives.
