The history walking tour was a great introduction to Funchal. The leader was very knowledgeable and I learned quite a bit.

The views were fabulous! I stayed at the Youth Center of Madeira. Extremely clean, well located and attentive staff. I experienced the island’s gastronomy like sppetada, lapas, sword fish with maracujah sauce, caco cake, honey cake, maracujah poncha, traditional poncha and homemade ginja liqueur. In Curral das Moniras I loved the chestnut soup, also tried the tomato soup with egg and in the area of the natural pools, in Porto Moniz, I ate the fish soup
