    Small coastal municipality on the nothern coast. Surrounded by lush mountainous forest valleys, you will find a very picturesque chruch here.

    We will take the scenic route through the coastal roads of Seixal on our journey to Porto Moniz. Hopefully to see some of the roadside waterfalls.

The guide was great!! He was very informative and a great driver on some tricky roads. We especially enjoyed his ability to stop for photo ops.

Our driver Thiago met us promptly on the dock just outside the terminal. He smoothly navigated through the city of Funchal and into the countryside, where we were able to experience all of the promised sights, plus a few special stops in less crowded places. He wanted to give us a special treat to stop at a wine cellar, but it was closed due to a bank holiday. Instead he was able to show us how he cuts and peels sugar cane, and gave us samples to taste. Later we got to experience one of the end products, the delicious local liqueur Maracujá. Our day was packed with enjoyment of this beautiful island, and we were delivered back to our ship comfortably on time. I would absolutely recommend this company and tour.

Fantastic trip! Saw the island from a new perspective and would love to come again and do the other tours! It was personal and he told us everything we wanted to know. Great guide with lots of information.
