Pilsen city is a beer-brewing capital of the world - the first pilsner lager was born there. On this trip you will enjoy not only comfort of a private car and private guided tour of Pilsen City centre but also a guided tour through Pilsner Urquell brewery finished by a tasting session of unfiltered beer, tapped from oak barrels. On the way to Pilsen you visit also Zbiroh chateau (optional) - originally 13th century castle on a guided tour. Czech Grand Master Freemason Alphonse Mucha painted there his world famous art nouveau works (The Slav Epic birthplace). All that on a private day trip with professional local guide customizing the day to your wishes. Price includes also the brewery and lunch.

    Your private guide-driver will pick you up at your Prague place. After approx. 1h of a comfortable & safe private drive you reach Zbiroh chateau. It used to be 13th century castle nowadays rebuilt in a beautiful chateau that served also as an atelier to famous Czech art nouveau painter Alphonse Mucha, Czech Grand Master Freemason. Experience this residence on a tour (group, audio guides, 8 EUR per person). The visit of the Chateau is optional.

    After 30 min of drive you come to Pilsen city - it has been the beer-brewing capital of the world since the 19th century (beer-brewing tradition since 13th century). Taste a typical Czech lunch in the local beer house (INCLUDED). Enjoy private guided tour of historic centre of Pilsen (originally 14th century town) with golden fountains and overlook the city from the highest church tower in Czech Republic of Cathedral of St. Bartholomew. Die Stadt Pilsen ist absolut sehenswert! Die Fassaden der Häuser und die vielen Details der Architektur, sehr schön. Warnen muss man nur vor der Moneta Money Bank, diese berechnet am Automaten zusätzlich fast 10% Abhebegebühr. Hat mich geärgert, dafür einen Punkt Abzug. Es gibt viele Sehenswürdigkeiten und man kann sehr viel unternehmen. Zudem ist der Preisunterschied zu Deutschland erheblich, was das essen und Trinken noch genussvoller macht ;-)

This tour was the private one. Michael is one of the most great guide in this area. He is the expert on this areas and guided with his deeper knowledge. The experience was over expected one. I went Pilsen and brewery tour but it was not fixed course and we can choose and change some small options. Brewery tour is same quality as others ( I went Heineken, Guinness, Carlsberg, Kirin, Suntry and Sapporo). But we can tasting hazy pilsner ulkel. We can purchase it on your bottle.

We had a wonderful day trip out of Prague with Michal. He is amazingly conscientious and knowledgeable. This trip is not to be missed by beer fans! We learned so much about the city of Pilsen and the surrounding area as well. Lunch was delicious, served in a quiet, pleasant courtyard. The Chateau has an interesting history and offers spectacular views for photos. Michal offers a variety of tours and we plan to take another with him when we return next summer.
