Turn the wasted travel day into the highlight of your trip with stops at the UNESCO-listed Lednice Palace, Bratislava the capital of Slovakia and Györ on your journey from Prague to Budapest. Our knowledgeable local tour leaders take your group on a fun-filled 10-hour road trip from Prague to Budapest. This tour offers hotel pick-up for private bookings. You will be picked up from your hotel, apartment, or any other pick-up point accessible by car. During the tour, we will have a chance to walk around the 19th-century Lednice Palace and Gardens. In Bratislava, capital city of Slovakia, we have a delicious lunch (not included) followed by exploration of hidden beauties of the Old Town. We learn about the history of Central Europe. We stroll around the fairytale-like Baroque Old Town of Győr and discover its narrow streets and beautiful views. This tour offers hotel drop-off for private bookings.     We will have a chance to walk around the beautiful and famous gardens surrounding the Palace during the tour. Lednice Palace and Gardens , the way we see them today, are designed in the 19th century for entertaining in the summer season. They palace is probably the best example of English Gothic style in Continental Europe. The Palace and Grounds, about 200h, are under UNESCO World Heritage protection due their unique architectural landscape.

  • Bratislava, Bratislava, Slovakia
    We’ll visit Bratislava Old Town that is famous for its medieval buildings, narrow streets, and little courtyards. You’ll learn about the history of the region as we wander around the city centre. We will also admire the beautiful castle of Bratislava that towers over the whole Old Town. The castle was rebuilt in the 20th century and reminds us of the importance of this city throughout history.

  • Gyor, Gyor, Hungary
    During the tour we walk around the Old Town of Györ. It’s famous for Baroque style houses and a fabulous Town Hall from 1900. Györ is known for many of its churches that remind us of the 1000-year Christian history of Hungary. We’ll wander around the narrow streets and learn about Hungarian history.

We had to upgrade to a private tour (since the minimum no for an open tour wasn’t met), but it was totally worth it. Peter, Stepan and Yuri were amazingly friendly and knowledgeable about the history of the 3 places we stopped at. We had a delicious lunch together (at a nice local restaurant in Bratislava) and had a lot of informative discussions ranging from European history to Indian cuisine. Will highly recommend this over a boring flight between cities

We booked a private shuttle trip between Prague and Budapest for our family of 6. We all agreed spending the day with Peter was one of our favorite travel days! He was incredibly personable and easy going, extremely helpful and very knowledgeable. He picked us up right on time, adjusted our stops to allow for more time in Budapest and offered helpful travel tips and suggestions. We are so glad we booked this transfer instead of riding the train and are very grateful to have met Peter on our trip! We were all so impressed by him and the company and absolutely recommend this travel option!

this is one of the best sidetrip tours we have ever taken! Peter (and Paulina , who was training under Peter) were so knowledgeable, articulate , kind and FUN1, it felt as if we were road tripping with old friends! looking forward to seeing more of Europe with sidetrip tours when we go back in the summer! HIGHLY recommended!
