Turn the wasted travel day into the highlight of your trip with stops at Karlštejn Castle, Pilsen Old Town and the UNESCO listed Regensburg on your journey from Prague to Munich. Our knowledgeable local tour leaders take a small group, maximum of 8 people, for a fun-filled 10-hour road trip from Prague to Munich (we also do this tour the other way – from Munich to Prague). You will learn about the history, culture, and most importantly the people of both the Czech Republic and Germany. We walk up to Karlštejn Castle, one of the most famous castles of Czech Republic. Then we welcome you to the birthplace of world famous Pilsner beer. We take a walk on the historic streets of Pilsen Old Town and visit the Beer Museum or the Pilser Brewery. In the afternoon, we learn about the legends of the gorgeous UNESCO World Heritage Old Town of Regensburg.

    Start your day by taking a stroll in the cute little town of Karlstejn, where you can see one of the best examples of a gothic style castle – the Karlstejn Castle. It is the former palace of the most famous king of Bohemia and the Holy Roman Emperor, King Charles IV.

    Then, by lunchtime, we arrive at the Pilsen brewery, the oldest brewery to have survived to this day and is world famous for its original Pilsner beer. Sit down for a delicious lunch (not included) and enjoy a cold pint of fresh Pilsner, before taking a peek into the catacombs that hide under the picturesque Old Town of Pilsen.

The sights were interesting and informative. Our guide, Vera, not only knew her history well but was a very spirited driver demonstrating the performance of her car when she had the chance. We thoroughly enjoyed the tour and the car ????. It was a well organised tour and reasonably priced. We would certainly consider making similar trips in future with Sidetrip. Cheers.
