Skip the line is the only way to go! Especially with the summer tourism and heat. The Gallery was beautiful, the process was easy. I highly recommend

The instructions to pick up your ticket were so confusing. "In Front of Galleria Accademia Main Entrance," the entrance is a madhouse when you get there, so these instructions will leave you wandering around. It should be "Find a guy with a white flag standing in front of the entrance that has your tickets." Once you find the guy, it'll take you to an entrance and skip the normal line. Academia Gallery is not huge, so you can take your time being mesmerized by all the captivating sculptures and paintings. The 15th-16th centuries of artwork will leave you in awe in the end.

Overall good experience. Only thing is that the meeting point can be confusing. Go to the entrance and find the door no.45 opposite the museum entrance and wait there for a man with a white flag, he will then print out your ticket before you can enter. Apart from finding him it was great, only had to queue for 5 minutes and was a great experience.
